ESS PROMOTIONS
Eric Simms has been a fan of pro wrestling since 1977. In 1985 while following his dream of being involved in pro wrestling, two stars of today, Balls Mahoney and the late great Chris Candido befriended him. They gave him his start on the insides of the Pro Wrestling business.
One year later he promoted his first show at the convention hall in Asbury Park, NJ, drawing about 1000 fans to see a main event of Abdullah the Butcher vs. Dr. D, David Shultz in a steel cage. After that he met up with another New Jersey promoter named Dennis Coraluzzo who he formed a good friendship with at that time. Dennis took him under his wing to show him a more detailed look at the insides of the business.
While attending Dennis's shows he began taking photographs of the different stars. Eric started to get a good following as a photographer. In the early nineties after taking numerous photos of the stars he was given the nickname of "Mr. Snapshot." A friend of his and a vendor in the business gave him the idea to sell his photos at different wrestling events in which he did.
Thus forming snapshot photos and merchandise. In the mid nineties as the WWE boom took off and merchandise became very popular Mr. Snapshot decided to invest in licensed merchandise from the 3 big companies and thus changing his name to ESS Promotions. He has kept the snapshot moniker, which he has become recognized by.
Today he is one of the most recognized and respected dealers on the East Coast and throughout the world. Outside of merchandising he also act as a talent agent for some of the greatest legends in the world of Pro Wrestling. Eric works with such stars as: Kamala, The Honky Tonk Man, Paul Orndorf, Percy ( Paul Bearer ) Pringle, Koko B Ware and countless others.
Today you can see Mr. Snapshot at different independent shows working with the some of the greatest legends of the Pro Wrestling business.
